„Just relax!” – LOL What?!

Oxana during the photoshoot in sudio

The night before a boudoir photoshoot. How to survive and not go crazy :)

The dumbest thing a professional photographer can say to someone in front of the camera is "relax"!

Seriously?!

Someone hasn’t slept all night before the shoot, tossing and turning, worrying about looking stiff in the frame, and all it takes is "relax"? Thanks a lot! As if they wouldn’t have thought of that themselves!

Even experienced people sometimes need a few minutes to get into the right mood. For someone without experience, it can take much longer – and that’s normal!

Don’t try to force yourself to calm down. Accept that initial stress won’t disappear before the session starts. Just arrive at the studio and let the photo session begin. That’s all that depends on you. The rest is the photographer’s job.

Once you step into the studio – it’s his problem to take some good portraits. The most important thing is that you don’t faint.

P.S. If you do decide to faint, do it dramatically – collapse into a designer chair with your hand on your forehead. Even then, we can get great photos 😉

In this photo – Oksana. She honestly admitted that she slept poorly and was nervous for several nights before the session, but as soon as she arrived at the studio, she felt much more relaxed and within 20–30 minutes was comfortable. We managed to take many beautiful portraits!
